The Ultimate Modern Woodworking Workbench

I made this last year and never did a finished product video. I had some time today so I thought I would make a video showing all of the important features. Hope you like it. Let me know what you think.

  4. 21st Century Woodworking

+BookofHolyH2O Nowhere right now. However soon (being somewhat relative
depending on my time) I hope to have the plans up on my website

  5. i can’t wait! I can see this used for a lot of stuff other then just a
    bench 😀

  6. Nice bench! Even without the lift mechanism. Saw this on Lumberjocks last
week too. Keep posting your projects.

  7. 21st Century Woodworking

    +Selandry1 Hey thanks! Will do!

  8. Great workbench design and construction. What are the bench measurements L
    x W x H ?

  9. 21st Century Woodworking

+David Salter It’s about 72″ long, 36″ deep, and will go from about 30″ to
56″ high if memory serves me correctly

Hey Man, cool bench. Can you tell me more about those castors?

  11. how anyone could have anything nasty to say is beyond me. Simply Amazing
    design! Great execution. So cool….

  12. +instructionification – They are similar to a set I bought from RS
    Components ( http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/plate-castors/6114458/ ) – I
think Farnell Element 14 might also stock them. They come in a range of
support weights – I was using them on a mobile X-ray cabinet so needed the
    weight handling capacity.

that open chain drive is really excellent.. it doesn’t collect dust or
woodchips at all and it doesn’t block for storing something down there when
    the top is lifted.

  14. I’d love to know where I can get some of those casters

  15. GuitarraLisboa1977

    You are the Man!!!

  16. Waaaaaaaaaant!!!!!! :D

  17. Bernard Nawrocki

    very impressive

  18. If you visit his website this week, I think it’s the last chance to grab a
draft copy of Woody Hyezmar’s woodworking Book, google it.

  19. Brilliant.

  20. What do I think? I think a build like that is awesome, but well beyond my
    current capabilities.

  21. Awesome bench, but no way that weighs 800lbs.

  22. WOW, JUST WOW! I’m new at woodworking, but always thought if I made a bench
it would have to be a height adjustable bench, because of my back problems.
You my friend are a genius. I’m pretty good with my hands as I used to be a
watchmaker when watches actually had parts. But I’m not very good with the
computer designs I saw on your website.
it is now 2016, so I don’t know if you are still providing videos, but I
would love to get my hands on the step by step plans.
Of course I will pay for them as long as they’re not $800 for 800 pounds.
    lol.

Please let me know if it’s doable to get such plans.

Thank you so much for lending your talents.
