Folding Mini Workbench

Today we work on a portable workbench. I decided to build this workbench so that I could transport it with me when I go visit my girlfriend who lives in another city. That way, I could use my hand tools to work on my wood projects. This little workbench 26 inches tall, 13.5 inches wide, and 52 inches long. When folded, it is 28 inches long and is 14 inches tall. It is a perfect height for me to work on projects while sitting and also quite sturdy. I do plan on adding some dog holes to the bench to help me hold down. Also, I might incorporate some heavy duty clamps for holding work pieces.

  2. Ken C Thanks!

  3. Very nice job! I was looking to make something like that, thanks for the idea.

  4. Awesome build.  I like it.  Thanks!

  5. Wow, this is so cool!!!!! I am inspired to make one :)!!!

  6. Very cool. Great job.

  7. Cannot locate the plans on the site recommended. The URL is not complete. Can you provide the complete URL? Thank you.

  8. Table is impressive but your ingenuity of clamps and jigs is even more impressive.

  9. The link is clickable. Anyway, here is the full URL. Let me know if it works.

  10. Thank you, I’m still quite new at this so still lots to learn and improve on!

  11. Uncle Cys Woodshop

Quite ingenious. If ever I need to go mobile I may just borrow this. Good Job. Are you working on a set of vices for it? That would be icing on the cake for ya.

  12. Nice job

  13. Nice job! thanks for making this 🙂

  14. Thank you! I was thinking of adding a leg vice to it but I have no idea how it will turn out. I’m currently moved out so I don’t have a work space to work on this table (temporarily).

  15. Uncle Cys Woodshop

I was looking at it and I think you could get a leg vise on it with a pipe clamp type screw as long as it clears when folded you be golden. Good luck look forward to seeing what ya come up with when you get shop space again.

  16. Workshop on Wheels

I did just found your channel, very interesting, you have a new sub now! And maybe I would kind of copy this build, since I need a very portable workbench. It seems a handy system

  17. nice, but you need to work on your audio some more, edit out the uhmms and ahhs, or do a retake since it’s a voiceover anyway and speak up a little more.

  18. Thanks for the input! Yes, I agree, I need to work on my audio. I don’t have a very good audio editing software. I mainly use Audacity or Windows Movie Maker. I’ll work on it next time!

  19. nice work; I appreciate the sharing.

  20. so cool idea! kind of genial! really so smart! compliments from Italy, the worst place in the world to be a woodworker 😉

  21. that’s funny but I know I have seen that look somewhere

  22. woodworker makesumitfromnout

Awesome job mate I’m going to build one of these for when I’m at my mothers she always has 101 things for me to do and I hate using her garden table to work and cut and stuff on so this is a great idea 👍👍👍👍🔨🔪🔩🔧

  23. woodworker makesumitfromnout So you go to your mom’s house when you’re not harassing people on YouTube? How do you find the time, because it seems like you’re being a complete jerk 24/7/365. Hey, you folks on this channel know Woodpecker likes to go to monkey channels & make threatening comments to the channel owners? What a GREAT guy he is! Apparently he’s going to Cambodia in June to poison monkeys. Just want to make it known to everyone what kind of person he is. He gets off on hurting animals! He also told me I rape my children; what a class act! I mean, those are the thoughts of a well balanced person, right?

  24. Patrick Novak de Paula

    Maravilhoso trabalho parabéns.

  25. Great Job! Congratulations

  26. I was dreaming of building a large bench for my shop but reality is I don’t have much space, so I think yours is the right one for me. Tanks.

  27. That is the part of the video that caught my attention too. I think a video on how you made those is in order 🙂

  28. Great design.
