  1. Hi, I love your tutorial and am going to make the same bench but I dont’
have a jig for the pocket holes, so I plan on just using regular joints
which seem like they will work up until the pocket holes on the legs for
the stop block. Btw, what is a stop block and where do I find one? If I
can’t find a cheap pocket jig, I might just manually open and close the
legs. Thanks for the very helpful and empowering video.

  2. : ) Thanks! The stop block is the 2×4 in the front that I used. If you
don’t have a pocket hole jig you can just pilot hole and screw it on from
the front. I only used pocket holes to keep the screws hidden but it isn’t
    required. Cheers!

  3. you can just use a scrap of basicly any dimensions

  4. Gulf War Syndrome

Hello and thank you for your videos. I have always been very resourceful
when it comes to doing things on my own. However I am a novice when it
    comes to woodworking.

I am a disabled veteran with a lot of time on my hand and recently I
thought to myself that it would be great to have a shop set up in the
garage with a drop down workbench. I just recently completed a coffee table
made out of metal plumbing pipes which are painted black. The table top was
stained a dark mahogany color. It turned out pretty awesome. So now my next
project is going to be building the workbench which I will probably start
    tomorrow.

    Please keep the videos coming.

  5. That coffee table sounds really cool! Oh, and thank you for your Service
    Sir! God bless you!

+Talladega Dude thank you for your support. The coffee table turned out
great. Next I built a 5 by 7 large workbench in the garage. So now I have
two work areas, one being in the garage and the other in a large storage
shed that I have been converting. I am really excited to get started on
    some projects 😊
It feels great to build stuff on your own.

  7. Hey great video! What is the drill tool called that is used at 1:17?

  8. Oh I found the answer in the comments: “kreg jig. or just a pocket hole
    jig.”

  9. It’s great do you have plans and measurements? I would like to build one

  28. I wish if I can meet you and spend some time with you… you are doing good
in woodworking and you tube as well…

  29. Very cool idea. Thanks for sharing the video. I’m wondering if I can use
some beefy door hinges instead of a piano hinge. I’d also like to have the
table drop down instead of fold up. This way I can attach a bench vise and
maybe even a 6” grinding wheel. Thoughts?

  30. Just getting started with woodworking and planning to make my workbench
this weekend. Do you think this same design would work fine folding
downward? I was planning on putting pegboard above the table.

I’ve been subscribed to you for about 6 months (I think) and was planning
on buying the design from your website.
